GospelCtnro Radio Show focused on the word “Obedience” Saturday morning. The process of the renewing of your mind is carefully embarked upon when considering the broad areas requiring our attention concerning obedience.
Our first point of reference in recognition of obedience is the initiation of the process, demonstrated by our parents or caregivers from childhood, or even our teachers in school. There is some point of recognition of obedience anywhere there is order . Notice I stated, “anywhere there is order”, success is spearheaded by structure, order and obedience.
Most of this information we know and partly understand as it refers to school, employment, military services, healthcare administration, and a corporate American working environment; but how does it really manifest itself in a born-again Christian’s life? Christians make efforts of obedience to live the lifestyle presented in the bible of what Christianity is believed to be. We needed to pose the question to the listening audience on Saturday, we demand obedience from our children yet are we thinking about how we lack obedience and discipline ourselves. The largest struggle of mankind is that of obedience and submitting to authority. Although, there is a natural and divine order which means we are automatically surrounded by order and submission to authority. The quicker we grasp this understanding the clearer our decision making is, clearing the path toward our God ordained destiny.
The scripture referenced on Saturday’s show was 2 Corinthians 10:1-6 as meditation but we highlighted versus 3-6 “For though we walk in flesh we do not wrestle with the flesh. (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thoughts to the obedience of Christ, And having a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is complete.
In a genuine exercise of obedience we reveal meekness or timidity in handling our brothers and sisters in Christ; yet encouraged to reveal boldness in expressing that we as Christians live by different standards than the world and to do so unashamed and unapologetically. Society would like to label us extremists but this is another tag or label placed and used to block and lock our minds outside of the liberty afforded in Jesus Christ. The conversation about obedience here is simply a scratch on the surface, so we look forward to hearing some of your views on the subject.
As we state each week GospelCntro’s purpose is to begin the discussion. We look forward to our listening audience to interact with our ministry and continue the subject. Please feel free to comment on any of our subjects on GospelCntro, and always know that the most intriguing submissions will potentially be highlighted on one of our GospelCntro broadcasts.
