Rejecting Christ : What does that entail?

rejectionThe juxtaposition of the identifiers of our Savior as “Jesus Christ,” and “Christ Jesus,”  was researched and recognized this week on the FIVAM Prayer call.  Therefore, when I think about the rejection of Christ, I have an entire new revelation of this scriptural warning about rejecting Christ.  One of the first myths we put to rest and many are familiar with, is the Jesus’ last name is not Christ.   The term Jesus Christ is a description of our Savior.  The name Jesus is the one we recognize as the human (dirt) body that carried the deity of the Word of YHWH (our God)-the Christ.

Jhn 1:14

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The name “Christ” is the representation of the Messiah, the One the Jewish people were watching for since the proclamation of the Prophets (Nevi’im).  Our language requires a deeper research on all words we speak in English today, particularly those which have a historical Hebrew origin.  Lets look at the name Christ to gain a deeper understanding, we see Christ is also the Messiah (Dan. 9:25-26), which means king, authority, anointed, and anointed one.   When we look to Christ as the ‘anointed one,’ and therefore possessing an anointing, we understand He has the authority to pour, disperse, send, and recall it in the earth.    The issue is when we separate the anointing that Christ Jesus rose with, and only focus on the sacrifice and accepting of Jesus Christ alone, we walk unfulfilled.  The anointing was present in Jesus Christ as He walked among us,

Isa 9:6

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

but the emphasis of the flesh dying and rising again in all power is witnessed in the use of which name is placed first.  Minister Jeanette gave several illustrations that we simply never gave attention to when reading the scriptures, e.g.,  Jesus the priest, Christ the King, Jesus the sacrifice, Christ the redeemer.  If you do your own research of the name you begin to see that all that we claim to do in the name of Jesus only, we are unknowingly rejecting the purpose of the authority of Christ.  Many unwittingly deny the authority and rightful position we have because Christ now lives in us.  Remember our word study, Christ is the Messiah, King, anointing and anointed one.  We have authority and dominion restored in our lives from the fall, we now have a legal position of authority because Christ dwells in us.   We are free to live as the Kingdom residents for which we are created .  What YHWH sets in place and speaks He will watch to perform it.  We are made to have dominion in the image of YHWH and company on this earth. If we do not understand our authority it is difficult to have dominion.   This is what the HaSatan stole from us, the recognition that a prince (Prince of the air)  cannot  own land, the land is owned by the kings.  The King has the final authority in the land not the prince.

Eph 2:2

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Now, when I look at the scriptures that warn of the rejection of Christ, my mind aligns with that of YHWH (our God) and how he sees the rejection of Christ.  When we reject Christ we reject our authority.   Jesus surely saves, but the Christ in Him lives to restore us.  Christ conquered death through the sacrifice of Jesus’ flesh affording a resurrection for every life influenced by HaSatan to be free.   Christ, gives us a “kingly” anointing from the anointed one, but when we are rejecting the most important gift YHWH (our God) has given us, we are rejecting Him.  God had held men to the ordinances of this world as long as he had not sent his Son and His Spirit to set them free from this.  These verses tell us that Christ “spoiled the principalities and powers.”  We are no longer under the principalities and powers of this world.  When Jesus died and resurrected, Satan’s kingdom was cast down, his power was overcome.  He still rules his subjects with rigid rules and hierarchy.  I’m wondering why we still see this hierarchy and protocol and we fail to see that of Christ.

Jas 1:6

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

If you cannot embrace the faith and fact (knowledge) that you have the authority do not expect your petitions to be honored but instead rejected, because you reject the authority of Christ in you.

Hos 4:6

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Loving you enough to tell you the truth…
