Today marks a New Year on the Gregorian calendar. A new year gives you a sense of newness and a fresh start. A new year offers an opportunity to reset our goals and in some cases goals will be canceled as they are no longer relevant. A new year allows you to plan a new future.
This is a day many will make proclamation to direct their lives in the upcoming year. Proclamation is a manner in which an announcement of important news is made. The Webster dictionary describes it as a public or official announcement, especially one dealing with a matter of great importance. A proclamation can inform others of a new idea, mindset or direction that is claimed by the one making the announcement. The resolution is derived from the root word “resolve,” and it is directed toward solving a previously discovered problem. A proclamation is an announcement and a resolution is an intended solution, aim, plan and or decision to solve an identified or an announced problem.
The New Year’s resolution is a statement of change to clear up a current problem that was a hindrance in the former years. In the last few days the Ruah HaKadosh (Holy Spirit) has led us toward discovering and searching for truth. What is Truth? In order to discover truth it is necessary to go back to the origin of a matter. Where it all began is where one will find truth. Although, finding truth is not as easy as the word is to speak. Truth will take you to the mirror of your own souls to review the results of your behaviors.
Once the picture is clear the truth demands you to see it for what it really is; at which time you must own your truth or continue in denial. The second emphasis made by the Ruah HaKadosh (Holy Spirit) during the last days of 2014 was to be careful of the words that you speak, because they will carry weight for the next several years in your life or potentially the rest of your life.
Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Many have read and heard the scriptures and understand that their words are seeds that are planted in our lives that manifest in our future. This brings us back to this first day of the year on the Gregorian calendar. If I told you that you can determine your future and you have had this power all the time, what would you say? You may say, how so? At which I would respond, that you have been writing the story of your life with your words all your life. If you desire to have blessings in your life there is a formula for this in the word of God, and specifically in the Torah.
Do you know that exactly as the laws of nature are so too are the divine laws? The laws of nature are in effect whether you honor them or not. Likewise for the divine laws, the laws are no respecter of persons the word honors the word, or the law honors the law. It has nothing to do with whether or not you are a specific race, religion or denomination? The judgment is built in the law itself, if you do the law the result of blessing is built in, and if you choose to disobey the law the result of the curse is built in. The laws are not given to hinder you but just the opposite, it frees you to be the ‘more than a conqueror,’ YHWH created you to be.
I write these words to you today to encourage you to take charge of your life according to all the teaching and instructions that YHWH has given you. The good pleasure of the Father is for us to have dominion in the Kingdom. I pray that you too desire the best for you and your family and you begin to carefully select the words you utter. Some may be struggling with how to know what to say? I am glad you asked, if we look to the complete word of God you will begin to see the pattern and repetition He makes to encourage us and guide us to have good success in our lives, it began in the 24th chapter of Exodus.
Exodus 24: 1-3 (CJB)
To Moshe [Adonai] said, “Come up to Adonai — you, Aharon, Nadav, Avihu, and seventy of the leaders of Isra’el. Prostrate yourselves at a distance, 2 while Moshe alone approaches Adonai — the others are not to approach, and the people are not to go up with him.” 3 Moshe came and told the people everything Adonai had said, including all the rulings. The people answered with one voice: “We will obey every word Adonai has spoken.”
Exodus 24: 1-3 (KJV)
And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the Lord, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off.
2 And Moses alone shall come near the Lord: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.
3 And Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, all the words which the Lord hath said will we do.
Here is the origin of the truth, the beginning of the matter. Not only are we instructed to keep all of God’s commandments, but more than that we committed to do all the words according to God’s instruction. There are some who will say I never said I would keep God’s instructions, and if that is your thought; remember when He created mankind He only made Adam and Eve, when they fell we were included. Therefore all instructions given to mankind to do to conduct our lives apply to all of God’s creation.
There is a pattern of keeping, meditating, honoring and trusting the instructions of God. The clear instruction is found in God’s Torah the first five books of the bible and through the prophets and the writings and New Testament.
Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Matt. 4:4 But he answered and said, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God.
I bless you with a New Year’s Revelation for you to use to draft your resolution. If you become determined to do all the words of God, all the issues you struggled with in 2014 will begin to resolve and manifest the blessings in the years to come.
Loving you enough to tell you the truth,
Prophetess C. C. Duncan
