The Counting of the Omer Day 25: The Road to Transformation
The Counting of the Omer covers a fifty-day period of time from the Feast of First Fruits until Shavuot (Pentecost). Beginning with the day of First Fruits, each subsequent day is counted for seven complete weeks, plus one day – fifty days. During the Counting of the Omer, we “count up” to the Feast of Shavuot (the 50th Day) with each day of counting, adding to the growing expectation of what Pentecost will bring. During the Counting of the Omer, each day 8 verses from Psalm 119 is read and meditated upon, causing us to review the condition of our hearts before God.
“‘From the day after the day of rest — that is, from the day you bring the sheaf for waving — you are to count seven full weeks, 16 until the day after the seventh week; you are to count fifty days; and then you are to present a new grain offering to Adonai.” Leviticus 23: 15-16 (CJB)
“Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the Universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to count the omer: Tonight will be the 25th night of the Omer, which is Three weeks, and 4 nights.
Day 25- Psalm 119:17-25
17 Deal generously with your servant; then I will live and observe your word.
18 Open my eyes, so that I will see wonders from your Torah.
19 Though I’m just a wanderer on the earth, don’t hide your mitzvot (commandments) from me.
20 I am continually consumed with longing for your rulings.
21 You rebuke the proud, the cursed, who stray from your mitzvot (commandment).
22 Remove scorn and contempt from me, because I observe your instruction.
23 Even when princes sit and plot against me, your servant meditates on your laws.
24 Also your instructions are my delight; they are my counselors.
Meditation Day 25 ‘Holy Delight’
Deal generously with your servant oh Lord. I am continually consumed with longing for your rulings. Love me Yahweh your words are my life. The greatest plot conspired against me in my life I listen to your laws for my answers of escape. When we consult the Torah and its 613 principles we gain the wisdom of Yahweh’s rulings. It is the action, functioning faith and obedience that gain center stage surrounding the inheritance of Kingdom blessings. The holiness of Yahweh our God contains the strength, healing, favor, revelation and dominion found in the essence of Yahweh’s true holiness. Let’s not forget Yahweh’s goal is always to commune with us. The encouraged action is heart driven attention to the Torah and God’s 613 principles. It is a daily battle of decisions, we create our tomorrow with our decision today. The paths designed for you, informing us that obedience, leads to the inheritance of the Kingdom in our futures Duet 30:1-6. The advantage of honoring God’s appointed times is the eternal promises of blessings that overtake all who honor them is significant. When we honor YHWH’s word we honor Him in all that we do. No one’s perfect, but if we allow the Ruah HaKodesh to move us through life the spirit will cut and heal with the double edged sword of the word , thereby our faith grows beyond comprehension. The delight in the rulings of God is inevitable with Yahweh’s ‘s instructions paving the way.
Loving you enough to share the truth,
