Controversy is the make up of our daily perspectives. We experience controversy at each turn of society. There is a platform to display opinions, controversy and innermost thoughts on any topic we select. The internet has opened the world to share opposing views on any level. The title of today’s contribution in light of controversy points to the one identified as the “Messiah.” The controversy surrounding the authenticity of the ‘Messiah,’ is not new. Who is the anointed one? This question was even asked by the Christ himself in the gospel of Matthew KJV chapter 16:13-17
13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets. 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
According to the words of Christ, his identity is not one that will be confirmed through man to man communications. Many believe that it is their duty to spread the identity of Christ to the world. I understand their motivation, but honestly the word is clear here as to how one will understand and come to the revelation of who is the real Messiah?
Christ walked with these men and asked them who do others say that I am? He then inquired as to who they believed he was? Therefore, in light of the word prompt today ‘controversy’ we realize, it is not new. Actually, controversy is to be expected and the only one who will ever be able to settle the controversy is the ‘Ruach Qadesh’ (Holy Spirit). There is nothing new under the sun; and the manner in which the real Messiah will be revealed to others is the same. The Holy Spirit will reveal it to you as it was revealed to Peter. The revelation of his identity is ministered by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit’s function is to lead you to all truth, which remains the path of resolving the controversy. Allow the same to be said of you as was uttered to Peter by Christ himself when the question is asked, “Who do you say the real Messiah Christ is?”
The answer is seek him and you will find him when you ask the Holy Spirit (Ruach Qadesh) to lead you to all truth. The controversy will be resolved in your heart, and “Flesh and blood’ will not reveal it unto you. I encourage you to seek the identity of Most High God and Messiah today by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit stands waiting to enlighten you. In conclusion, controversy rests with men who do not seek wisdom and resolve from the Most High God. How do I know this? It is His written word, He is not like man, that he should lie and He is not a God of confusion.
Shabbat Shalom Family!
